The City of Escanaba Recreation Department offers the public a year around trail system that can be used for a variety of non-motorized activities. Depending on the weather, this trail system of about 6.6 miles of various loops can be used for cross-county skiing and snow shoeing in the winter months, and biking, walking, or running in the summer months. The ski pathway will be groomed if snow conditions permit. Non-motorized trail sign and trail markers have been posted. The City of Escanaba will initiate active patrolling and will fully prosecute anyone found vandalizing and/or illegally dumping refuse at the site. The public is encouraged to report any type of illegal activity at the trail system to local authorities.

Trailheads at North 30th St. and 19th Ave. offer six loops. Ski trails are groomed in winter. Snowshoes are available for free at the Civic Center or Catherine Bonifas Art Center, 225 North 21st St. For more information: 906-786-4141.
