This rustic campground is nestled among a forest of mixed hardwoods and conifers along the winding banks of the Big Cedar River. The campground is located in Menominee County, just 6 miles northwest of Cedar River via M-35 and River Road.

The campground is managed by J.W. Wells State Park.

Nestled among a forest of mixed hardwoods and conifers, this campground is situated along the winding banks of the Big Cedar River. There are 18 sites available, including 12 sites for tent and small trailer use and six sites available for equestrian camping. The campground includes vault toilets and potable water from a well-hand pump. Sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call for availability.

Equestrian trail rider groups planning a ride may need to acquire an event permit. If the event will utilize multiple campgrounds, please contact the Cadillac Operations Service Center at 231-775-9727 x. 6006. If the event will only utilize one campground, please contact this facility at 989-785-4388.

Boat Launch: A carry-down launching area. Site does not have an improved ramp and is suitable for car-top boats and canoes only. It has parking available within 150 feet of the launching area; the site is signed.
